Description

The Blacklight 88 combines quality construction with a reduced weight, for maximum speed and versatility in alpine terrain. The Blacklight 88 weighs just 1080 grams (165cm) for a waist width of 88 mm. It is therefore the lightest versatile ski in the DYNAFIT collection. This model is aimed at dynamic and fast touring specialists who are looking for a manageable and agile ski, suitable for demanding technical terrain and all snow conditions. The name Blacklight is a combination of the color black, which refers to the carbon used, and the suffix light - for a very light ski with brilliant performance on snow. Blacklight is therefore not just a product name here, it is a real promise. The ski perfectly combines technical elements and elegant design and focuses on its main objective, speed. The Blacklight 88 has a top layer made of 100% UD carbon. The UD acronym refers to a unidirectional arrangement of carbon fibers which, compared to common carbon, offers greater tensile strength and greater load capacity for a lower mass. The Blacklight 88 features a wood core made of 100% high quality paulownia. Thanks to the 3D construction, the inertia effect is reduced in front of and behind the binding area: this way you benefit from a very light ski offering great stability on snow. The sidecut and the rocker shape in the tip and tail are adapted to the length of the ski, a unique feature in the touring market. The proportion of edge in contact with the snow always remains the same, which ensures balanced downhill behavior, whatever the length of the ski. The Blacklight is equipped with ABS sidewalls for the best possible power transmission to the snow. Also note the special "competition" structure of the sole, for even more speed during your outings.
