The ski, with a width of 88mm at the waist, is perfectly stable and maneuverable in all terrains. Weighing only 1'280g for a length of 166cm, it allows athletic tourers to save a good deal of energy and better enjoy the descent on long outings in the terrain. Its construction combines a Cap structure with sidewalls for a better weight/performance ratio. An integrated tip made entirely of aluminum allows for simple and reliable skin attachment. Thanks to its special 3D construction -- mass reduction, and thus inertia, at the front and back of the waist -- the Tour 88 demonstrates very stable behavior on snow despite its reduced weight. The side geometry and rocker shape are adapted to the ski's length, a unique feature in the touring market. The proportion of edges in contact with the snow remains consistently the same, ensuring balanced behavior regardless of the ski's length. The model features a wood core made of poplar and paulownia, a combination of materials that combines the stiffness and strength of elongated poplar fibers with the reduced weight of paulownia.
